Our principles

We observe the following key principles for our client work, developed over years of consulting and coaching and in accordance with the Institute of Management Consultants' Professional Code of Conduct.

  1. STRATEGIC. We take the strategic view when we counsel and coach.

  2. TAILORED. We provide tailored, high-value, cost-effective answers – not cookie-cutter approaches.

  3. CONFIDENTIAL. We respect the need for confidentiality in coaching and consulting and always get the client's permission if there is any question about communicating client information to outsiders.

  4. FLEXIBLE. We are flexible as to the processes we use in client work - but only to the extent that the process has integrity and will achieve the desired end.

  5. DELIVER MORE. Our objective is to deliver more than the client expects.

  6. NO SURPRISES. We are assiduous about keeping the client up to date - no surprises!

  7. PROFESSIONAL. We are professional, honest, fair and reliable. We deliver what we say we will deliver.

  8. CHANGE AGENT. We strive to show the client new ways and offer different views: Our highest value is being a change agent.

  9. BUDGET SENSITIVE. We are sensitive to the client’s budget and try to be creative in meeting the need within that budget. We are very open to considering changing or removing elements of a proposed work plan. However, we are forthright if we believe work plan changes will jeopardize essential quality levels or that the need can’t be met within the budget.

  10. NO MARKUPS. We do not mark up outside services billed to the client or wrapped into our fees.

  11. TRAVEL TIME. We do not charge for travel time.

  12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. Any intellectual property developed in our assignments remains the sole property of the client unless otherwise agreed.
